I hope to inspire, entertain, and transport people with my writing. And perhaps give hope, for that may be all that keeps us going at times.
So many people I know are dealing with family and medical issues, and reading the paper can give us a hopeless feeling when we learn the horrendous things people do to each other. It reminds me of this verse from the Bible: "1 Peter 5:8
Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour." ESV
We have to help as we can, hope all we can, and pray unceasing. This world, while full of trouble, is also full of wonderful people like my fellow writers, loving friends, and family. So let's shine brightly by encouraging others, and sharing any positive things we know about! After all, a remedy for depression and hopelessness is in Philippians 4:8:
"Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things." ESV

With his own blood—not the blood of goats and calves—he entered the Most Holy Place once for all time and secured our redemption forever. Hebrews 9:12 NLT
